How much is your scan worth?
A rough, honest guide to what different kinds of scans tend to sell for. It's a starting point, not a rule — you always set your own price.
What moves the price up or down
- What was captured: mounting points, hardpoints and clearance envelopes are worth more than plain surface.
- Accuracy: tighter declared accuracy (and a real datum) is worth more.
- Rarity: scans of rare or hard-to-access vehicles sell for more.
- Coverage and cleanliness: complete, well-processed data beats partial or noisy data.
- Verification: a Verified badge builds buyer trust.
Tip: offer all three licenses
Offering Single-Project, Commercial and Exclusive Buyout lets different kinds of buyers say yes — hobbyists, companies and those who want it to themselves — which usually means more sales.
Figures are orientative and shown in euros; listing prices on 3D Scan Garage are set in USD. The calculator inside the listing form uses a separate formula based on data types and accuracy.
